Up the coast and back!

Ok, so i jumped on the blog wagon--I know, 10 years later! But I decided to just stop fighting it. So here goes...



The week before Thanksgiving, we drove up to Monterey and met the McGregors for a fun weekend. Marcus had to work the first two days, so the kids and I took long walks, sampled chowder, went to a few museums, and of course--visited the SEA LIONS (for like 2 hours). There's a little secret if you want free, captivating entertainment for HOURS! We walked along a little jetty where there were about a hundred barking sea lions playin' fat dog in the sun! They were soooo LOUD! Madie and Avery would walk to the side to get a closer look, and then jump back when they all started barking at them. And Owen probably couldn't tell the difference between the sea lions and the loud, barking humans (his sisters).We got to go to the aquarium for two days and that was really fun. Of course the favorite there was the great white sharks. And to top the whole weekend off, Papa Paul and Uncle Chuck came up to golf and hang out. And Paul took everyone to Benihana (sp??) for dinner! That was sooo fun watching the japanese chefs cook right in fron of us--it was the kids' first time and their favorite part was the crazy balloon hats...THANK YOU PAPA PAUL!
